Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar state privacy laws.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

Renew EcoMe LLC (“SmarterTariff”) does not sell, rent, lease, or share personal information with third parties for their marketing or commercial purposes. This has been our policy since day one and it will not change.

What Data We Collect

  • Account email: Used for authentication and transactional emails only.
  • URLs submitted for scanning: Stripped of query parameters and PII before processing. Cached results stored by domain only.
  • Audit results: Accessibility scores, WCAG violations, and payment provider detection data.
  • Subscription status: Whether you have an active Pro plan. No payment card data is stored by us — our payment processor handles all payment processing.

Third-Party Service Providers

We use the following services to operate SmarterTariff. They process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations — they do not use your data for their own purposes:

  • Our payment processor — payment processing (we never see or store your card number)
  • Our managed database & authentication provider — authentication and database hosting
  • Our cloud hosting & infrastructure provider — application hosting and edge delivery
  • Our third-party AI/LLM processing provider — AI analysis of accessibility violations (no PII is sent)

Your California Privacy Rights

Under the CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.), California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise your right to data deletion, visit our Delete My Data page. For any other privacy requests, contact us at chris@smartertariff.com.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

In compliance with Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135 (CCPA/CPRA as amended 2024), SmarterTariff automatically detects and honors the Global Privacy Control browser signal. When your browser transmits Sec-GPC: 1 or exposes navigator.globalPrivacyControl = true, we treat the signal as a legally-binding opt-out of sale or sharing of personal information.

As of June 2026 we load no third-party analytics or advertising trackers, so there is nothing to sell or share. A GPC signal is still honored as a legally-binding opt-out: it overrides any cookie-banner consent and, for the duration of your visit:

  • Persists a hard decline of all optional cookies (we save it instead of asking again)
  • Suppresses any optional analytics or advertising tracker we might re-enable in the future, before it can load
  • Suppresses the cookie consent banner itself (no prompt on top of a binding opt-out)

Browsers and extensions that currently ship GPC include Brave, DuckDuckGo, Firefox (via extension), and several privacy tools.
